Bill has practiced over 50 years. His major areas of concentration include personal injury, education, labor and employment, civil rights and torts.

He is a member of the American Association for Justice, Washington Association for Justice (formerly the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association) and the Spokane County and Washington State Bar Associations.

Bill received his Juris Doctor from the University of Washington Law School in 1956. While in law school, he was a member of the editorial board of the University of Washington Law Review for two years. He was later a Special Assistant Attorney General for Eastern Washington University from 1968 to 1969. He is admitted to practice in all courts in Washington, the 9th Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He has tried hundreds of cases and at least 150 appeals.
